Hampden Park

This building is the national stadium of football in Scotland, and is able to hold an impressive 51,866 spectators at capacity. Not only are you able to enjoy football here, but it was also used as an athletics stadium for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and it has often been used as a music venue too – so as buildings go, there is no doubt that this is one that has multiple purposes.

In fact, this building is the oldest one in Glasgow, making it one that you really must see if you are coming to the city. Unlike some historic cathedrals, Glasgow Cathedral is still very active, and has a regular congregation. Located on the south bank of the River Clyde, Glasgow Science centre is a must-see for a number of reasons. Firstly, it contains a number of attractions that could entertain visitors for a long while. Secondly, the building itself is stunning. The building was opened by the Queen in 2001, and since then has enjoyed huge visitor numbers due to a mixture of its attractions and its architecture. Although the building itself is much older, the museum underwent a refurbishment recently and was reopened to the public back in 2006.
